I was a bit worried about what I would get for the low price I paid for these on Amazon.com, but so far have been very pleased. Both machines booted up and worked equally well right out of the box. The machine boots up faster than the the thinkpad I use for work (less than 50 seconds even after a windows update, 32 seconds out of the box). The screen is clear and bright and the Intel HD 3000 video is everything needed for everyday use (of course this is not a gaming machine). Wireless connectivity worked great one floor up from my router with no hiccups after a heavy testing. One of these went to my 10 year old son and he can play internet based games like Minecraft and Roblox with ease and with good video response. The computer is used about 3 times per week for less than an hour a day and after 4 months the hard drive failed. This was not due to a virus, or any other "malware" related issue - the hard drive simply failed. No bootable device, check cable connection, black screen. Apparently a common problem when I googled this to try to find out how to fix it since the company does NOT include a disk when you buy the computer. I called customer support and was put on hold for 20 minutes, then transferred to the IBM "thinkpad" department. The gentleman on the other end of the line (obviously not in the United States, which makes it even harder to communicate) attempted to troubleshoot by having me restart the computer and press F8, which did nothing except give me the black screen again. He stated since we could not get into that area of the computer and since the computer does not come with a disk (no...
