The previous 1-star reviewer obviously does not understand this, so please IGNORE their rating, because this laptop really is a gemstone (pun intended).I'll start with the downsides of the laptop. For one thing, I wish it had Firewire. That is the one key port that I really miss on this machine. eSATA would be nice, too, but for the price, I can live without it. Also, the battery life could be better. I haven't used the machine enough to give you a precise figure, but I'd say the battery lasts between 2 and 3.5 hrs depending on what I'm doing. Not terrible, but not great either - Dell's competing i3 model has almost double the wHr capacity. Cosmetically, the laptop is a little dated looking.
