Opened up the packaging and snapped onto the macbook pro 17" I have. I wanted a shell that would be able to protect the unit from scratching as I leave this laptop lying around in my living room. It fit perfectly, snapping onto the laptop with no effort. The satin feel is definately nice, and the semi transparent finish allows for the apple logo to glow through dimly. there are little round foot holds on the bottom that keeps the notebook from sliding around. All in all, it adds a lil bulk to the notebook but seems to do the job. I like it, and I would definately recommend this shell to others who want to protect their macbook from superficial scratches. It fits perfect, snaps on and off very easily, but not so easily that it just falls off. Great protection and looks good too. The only thing I wish it had is the little flip props on the back to elevate it a little bit, not a necessity though. PROS: fits very well, easy to get on and off for cleaning.
